Newcomers Prize

Certificate for the most points across all sections, by a newcomer to the parish of Wellow. The exhibitor must have moved in after 2nd September 2021.

Junior Prize

A certificate and £10 will be awarded to the entrant aged under 17 with the most points across Vegetables, Fruits, Novelty Garden and Flowers Sections.

The RHS Banksian Medal

Awarded for the most points in the horticultural classes – Vegetables, Fruits and Flowers Sections. (Competitors who have won The Banksian Medal in the last two years are not eligible to win. Previous winners are Alex Martin in 2022 and Rob Greig in 2021).

The Farmer’s Cup for Best entry in class 1 – Collection of 5 varieties of vegetables.

The Patrick Hartley Memorial Salver for Best entry in class 10 – Collection of 5 salad vegetables

The Wellow & District Challenge Cup for most points in Section A (Wellow Hort Soc Members only).

The Junior Gardener’s Cup for most points in Section B.

The Ted Welch Memorial Cup for most points in Section C.

The Ken Manning’s Shield for most points in Section D.

The Late Joane Rittner Cup for Best entry in Class 66. A collection of wild/garden flowers in a vase.

A certificate for most points in Section E

The Sarah Moore Trophy for Best display in section F

A £10 prize for Best in Section G (donated by Castlemead Poultry)

The Colin Tremellen Cup for most points in Section I.

The Combe Hay Cup for most points in Section J.

The Sue Rodford Cup for the child in pre-school with the most points in classes 130-132.

The St. Julian’s Cup is awarded to a St. Julian’s School pupil with the most points.

Please note that classes in Section B are for those aged under 17 years. These classes are judged in the vegetable section.
